What I find insanely hypocritical, is the fact that lawmakers in Alabama go on about the sanctity of all life and all life is precious, yet they are ok with the death penalty. I don’t believe in abortion but I understand that for some it may be necessary. We do not have the right to force a woman to carry a child they do not want. People like to say adoption is always an option, but how many children are already in a broken system waiting to be adopted. I think they are not taking into account the emotional toil that carrying a child entails and couple that with the trauma of not wanting to be pregnant in the first place and that’s a recipe for disaster. My proposal is that all these lawmakers and pro life advocates need to make sure that they provide for all these babies. Not in the system, you take them into your homes and love and care for them since they are so concerned about a life that is not here yet over ones that will suffer because you feel the need to decide what happens in people’s lives without bothering to learn about them and their situations.
